Jack-James Marlow is a fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a space engineering manager and certified project manager with a decade of experience in liquid rocket engines. As the leader of Skyrora's UK engineering department, he manages the development of the XL Launch Vehicle. Jack-James holds a degree in astronautical engineering and a PhD degree in rocket engine liquid propulsion. He is also currently studying for an MBA. Recently, he oversaw the design and commissioning of the UK's largest rocket engine test facility, earning the 2020 RAeS Specialist Award. As project executive, Dr. Marlow successfully executed a fully integrated stage test fire for the second stage of Skyrora's XL Launch Vehicle, a first in the UK since the Black Arrow and Blue Streak programs.
