Rafael Cayuela is an economist with over 20 years of experience in the chemical industry and holds a Master’s degree in economics from the College of Europe and an MBA from Northwood University. He also completed his executive education at the University of Chicago (Executive MBA), the University of Oxford on Blockchain and Singularity University on exponential and disruptive technologies.  

Rafael is the Corporate Chief Economist and EMEAI Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer at Dow and is responsible for defining and accelerating the EMEAI sustainable, digital and growth transformation strategy, as well as global-long term scenarios. He is also Chair of the European Chemical Industry Association and serves on the International Advisory Board of the World Energy Council, World Bioeconomy Forum and World Biouture Platform.
