Born in 1971 in England, and with a degree in chemistry from Bristol University, Steve Lindsey has a strong commercial, financial and technical background, having consulted to some of the world’s largest blue-chip companies.  

Steve is currently President and CTO of Lontra, the company that he founded to commercialise his blade compressor invention. This was the first of the company’s technologies and has been shown to reduce energy consumption by up to 34%. The compressor’s applications range from food manufacture to water treatment to heat pumps and it has the potential to make a significant impact on worldwide carbon emissions.
