Veronica Garcia-Arteaga is from Mexico City and has known that she wanted to develop food products since she was 11 years old. She originally studied food engineering before working at the quality control department of an international food company. Her passion for food and nutrition allowed her to win a scholarship to study a Master’s degree in nutrition and biomedicine in Munich, where she acquired a deeper knowledge of the advantages of plant-based diets. She completed her PhD degree on plant protein functionality while also working on developing a plant-based version of the chicken egg.
